On January 22, we celebrate the Day of the Assembly of Ukraine.
This holiday reminds us that Ukrainians began to defend their independence more than a century ago. And this struggle for the unity of territories, values and culture has never been easy.
Why did Ukrainians talk about sobrality?
With the development of science, cartographers and ethnographers began to study where peoples lived, and from the middle of the 19th century, corresponding maps appeared. This is how the Ukrainian intelligentsia saw that in the lands from Transcarpathia to the Kuban, Ukrainians significantly predominated among the population.
It was a certain shock for the Ukrainians of that time. After all, for them, the conditional homeland was the region they inhabited, where people spoke the same language and sang the same songs. And it turned out that people of the same nationality live a thousand and more kilometers away.
The turning point was the First World War. The Ukrainian People's Republic (later the Ukrainian state of Hetman Skoropadskyi) and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic were formed on the ruins of the then Austro-Hungarian and Russian empires. The world did not take them seriously, but these two parts of the Ukrainian land were waiting for the liberation of each other from the occupation in order to unite.
So the delegation from ZUNR went to negotiations with Hetman Skoropadskyi on unification with Dnipro Ukraine (UNR).

2023 turned out to be a difficult year for Ukrainians. the Russian Federation does not stop and continues to launch missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine, send UAVs, and invade our territories.
But life goes on and Ukrainians are trying to find a happy ray of hope, happiness, life in this fear. Will share your happy moments of life so that the world can see - Ukrainians are strong, indomitable, invincible.
We believe in Victory, thank you ZSU.
Glory to Ukraine!!!!
